The Civil Process Division is responsible for the service of subpoenas and other court documents within Penobscot County. Other court documents include: divorce, family matters, law suits, civil disputes, landlord-tenant notices, etc. Civil process servers are reimbursed by the person requesting service for the service of all documents and related service costs. The division is self-supporting in revenue. Two full-time servers manage the document service in the Greater Bangor area, and other part-time servers are assigned papers in the outlying areas of Penobscot County.
