Vanessa Holmes
Administrative Assistant

Vanessa Holmes is the Administrative Assistant to the Sheriff.  She began her career with Penobscot County in 1986 when she was employed by the Penobscot County Commissioners Office as a clerical specialist.  In that capacity she was responsible for managing accounts receivable and all aspects of payroll.  In 2003 she was hired by Sheriff Ross as his Administrative Assistant. In this position she manages the financial records of the agency as well as the day -to-day activities of the Sheriff.  Mrs. Holmes also is the supervisor for the Clerical Division.
